On Friday, June 13th, in the courtyard of the Kellaki tavern, Workshop PR & Marketing hosted a PR event for influencers, food bloggers, and guests and within hours, it became the talk of the town. It was one of those magical nights that reminded everyone what true hospitality and a real Cypriot celebration feel like.
A sprinkle of rosewater on the hands and plenty of warm smiles were all it took to set the tone. Guests immediately felt at home, reconnecting with something we’ve all missed, an authentic, down-to-earth Cypriot tavern. The view? Breathtaking. The courtyard? Straight out of a dream. And the mood? Sky-high from the very beginning.
Food was served the traditional way, to be shared in the middle of the table. Watermelon with feta, broccoli with cashew cream, generous platters of fish and meat… and finally, the sweetest goodbye: the signature Kellaki Cake.
And then came the dancing. Traditional, full of energy, and totally contagious. One of the dancers started balancing glasses on his head, and guests took it up a notch by adding more. Laughter echoed, hands clapped, and joy took over. Next came a spontaneous “Zorbas,” homemade and heartwarming. The chairs were pushed aside, and everyone got up to dance. And just when we thought it couldn’t get more fun, the plates started breaking. The unscripted chaos became the main event!
Everyone left with two things: excitement… and a jar of handmade jam.
Some nights don’t need much to be unforgettable. Just good company, music that moves you, shared dishes, and a courtyard that makes you lose track of time. This was one of those nights.
